COMPETITION
After composer and artist Kenny O'Dell recorded his Beautiful People with Eirik, and it just had hit Billboard Top 100, within days Bobby Vee also came to Eirik to record the same song.
The two recordings ended up competing in the charts. The version by the better-known Bobby Vee ended up in a higher position than Kenny O'Dell's.
To copy another artist's recording was not unusual during the 60s. (A video by O'Dell is being sought.)
